  • Smart asset status

    • Use the value of a PI tag to automatically define the status of an asset.

    • When configuring assets, site admins can define a PI tag an value ranges for which the asset must be in status Standby/Locked or Active

    • When filling out the round, the asset will automatically change status depending on the PI tag value and configured ranges

 

  • Add images to remarks and clarifying notes

    • Remarks and clarifying notes now support images as well as text

    • Site admins can add 1 image per remark or clarifying note (optional)

    • Image is viewed by users on web and mobile devices

  • Predefined end times for Ad Hoc rounds

    • When creating an Ad Hoc round occurrence the users now have two predefined end times :

      • End of the shift

      • End of the day

This simplifies and speeds up the process of Ad Hoc round creations

  • Comments for rounds

    • Users can now leave comments on round occurrences

    • Comments can be added by all users on Web & Mobile devices

    • Comments are visible by all users on Web only

  • Sample Measurements (web/mobile)  
    It is now possible to configure choice and numeric measurements to accept samples. When filling in the round on mobile the operator can indicate that a sample has been taken, afterward when the results have come back the actual value can be entered on the web app. 

  • New UI – Single measurement (mobile) 
    New look and way to navigate rounds. Measurements do not appear in a list anymore, but only one single measurement is visible at the time.  
    Users can choose how to view and navigate the inspection rounds by clicking the display setting button in the left menu bar.   
    Options are :   

    • In a list  - By default  

    • Single – New 

  • ​Round groups (mobile/web)
      Users can create groups for rounds on the round configuration page on web. Grouped rounds will be displayed in groups on mobile devices.

  • Mass asset status change (web)  
    In the asset list screen, it is possible to change the status of all the assets in the list at once. The status change is applied to all assets in the list. 

  • Warning ranges (mobile/web)  
    On web site administrators can configure warning ranges for numeric measurements on top of existing optimal and limit ranges. Warning range values must be within the values of the optimal range and cannot be configured without the latter. Up to two warning ranges can be configured for a numeric measurement, an upper and lower warning range for example.  
    On mobile values entered by the user that fall within the warning range will be indicated by an orange exclamation mark. 

  • Hyperlink in description text (mobile/web)  
    Site administrators can now use hyperlinks in the description field of measurements, remarks and clarifying notes. The hyperlink can be clicked by the users when performing the round to be redirected to the address of the link.

  • Default values for choice measurements (mobile/web)  
    For choice measurements site administrators can choose one of the choice values to be checked by default.   

  • New Landing page (web)  
    The landing page on web has been updated with a new design.

  • Release info banner (web)  
    Information about new features added during the last release will be displayed at the top of the screen in a grey banner and will be visible throughout the web application.

  • New email notification : Round not started (web)  
    If notifications are enabled for the site every user can choose for his/her profile to receive an email notification 1 hour before a round period ends. Feature only available for roles : Supervisor, Lorin Admin and IT admin.  

  • Discrepancy range for PI values (web/mobile)  
    Supervisors can configure discrepancy ranges for numeric measurements for which a PI tag is configured. If the difference between the value entered by the user and the PI value is too big - outside the discrepancy range – the user will be informed.  

  • Adaptive Y-axis for graphs (web)  
    The Y-axis of graphs in the asset history tab automatically scales based on the data to display for optimal readability.  

  • Azure staging slots (web)  
    Azure staging slots have been implemented for LorInspect which makes deployments/releases possible with zero down time.  

  • Signature shortcut (mobile)  
    When signing a round on mobile a new button is available – Sign by Me – which when clicked fills in the name and surname fields based on who is logged in on the Application  

  • Details on round configuration screen  
    The round configuration screen contains more details about actions that can be performed, configuring NFC/QR locks, inserting pop up remarks and information messages as well as changing the asset and measurement status. 

  • Mobile UX/UI improvements  

    • Larger text font  
      The font size of measurement counter, area name, … has been increase for improved readability on mobile devices  

    • Enhanced signature screen  
      Redesign of the signature screen on mobile making it possible to view multiple signatures.   

    • Button design improvement  
      Redesign of buttons on the round measurement screen – PI button hidden if no PI tag configured for the measurement  

    • Remark popup title  
      Pop up windows showing a remark now have a title indicating if the remark is on the measurement, area or asset.  

    • NFC toaster message relocation  
      The NFC toaster message when a NFC is scanned is moved from the bottom of the screen to the top for increased visibility, font size has also been increased  

    • Consistent keyboard behavior  
      In list view and single view the keyboard behavior is aligned, the keyboard appears and disappears automatically based on the type of measurement.  

    • Updated in round navigation  
      In list view and single view information is displayed regarding the inspection

  • Memos (web/mobile)
    The Memos feature allows you to broadcast a message to assigned sites with multimedia and hyperlinks. All users connected to the site will be able to access and view the memo created. Memos can be viewed on web and mobile devices. It can be used to share updates, activities and reminders with your teams on site via the Lorinspect application. 

  • New UI (mobile)
    New look and feel of the worklist and area/asset screens.

    • Layout screen. ​

    • A colored indicator when rounds and areas/assets have been 100% completed.

    • When synchronization is still pending, there is a temporary label displayed to indicate the status.

  • Mass asset status change (mobile)
    In the asset list screen, it is possible to change the status of all the assets in the list at once. The status change is applied to all assets in the list.

  • Online/Offline Indicator (mobile)
    When the mobile app detects that there is no Internet connection, an informative banner is displayed. As soon as connectivity is restored, the banner is not displayed.

  • Check for updates (mobile)
    Button to check for updates on mobile in the app menu.

  • UX improvements

    • Next button: when clicking "next" in the last item and the next is a delta or calculation measurement, the screen is in focus and the user can click on “next” again to navigate to the following measurement

    • Adaptive graph display: graph of historical values adjusted to view last 12 values optimally

    • If cameras on devices are not authorized on site, this setting can be configured on web (via IT admin in the mobile settings tab of the power plant) and options with cameras are not displayed (ex. taking a photo or video in the notification)

    • If PI is not connected to the site, this setting can be configured on web (via Lorin admin) and the PI icon will not be displayed in the inspections

  • Bug fixes / Technical improvements

    • Mobile – Web Synchronization with ServiceBus

    • Mobile app crashes when navigating in inspection (ex. changing asset status, opening round…)

    • Web overall design due to removal/replacement of KendoUI: faster performance

  • Notifications in Areas (web/mobile)
    It is now possible to create a notification for an area in a round.  

  • Round name information in notification details (web/mobile)
    In the notification details, if the notification was created within an inspection round, the round name will be displayed. On web, it is possible to click to view the specific round. 

  •  Link to view event in LorinLogs from the notification details (web)
    In the notification details, if the notification was pushed to LorinLogs successfully, there will be a link to open and view the event in LorinLogs on web.
    *Connection to LorinLogs must be established for your site to use this feature

  • App code preparation for upgrade to .net6
    App code has not been renewed since the beginning of the development. The current code will not be support after next year for certain features. The code upgrade is important for the app’s sustainability and future developments. The new code will compute the db faster and improve synchronization.
    ​To anticipate the new code, preparations to the app on web and mobile are required.
